Positive1. My choice in joining the community is "limited care" so i don't take meals or have anyone clean my apartment. When there is a health event like too many people with the flu, they deliver meals to everyone including me. 2. I do "check in" every morning by pushing a button in my room. 3. All the common areas including hallways, bathrooms, Bistro and hallways are constantly being cleaned. 4. The general attitude of everyone including staff and residents is friendly and open, very positive. 5. The apartment is very …

PositiveMy friend and I first walked in with awe--it was clean, residents were bustling around doing things. The residents were so kind, helpful, and if we didn't remember their names, they said it was ok because they don't remember names either. The staff took care of our move-in and any other problems we might have had. It's been a year now and we're still quite happy we chose Lake Shore Senior Living.

Positive5 to all. I don't participate in the meal program because I'm an "active" member. Impressive space like a large hotel Also lots of activities posted every day
★★★★★
PositiveExcellent virtual tour of the common areas of the facility. Majestic views of Lake Merritt from the rooftop walking path. The guide provided insights into the many activities available as well as health service. Interests and capabilities of the current residents appear to be a good fit. Excellent background for an in-person visit.
★★★★★
PositiveThe facility is in near downtown Oakland near Lake Merritt. It has very nice views of the lake and Berkeley/Oakland hills. The place has a lot of nice amenities and provides 3 meals a day. Overall, I would consider this a place to live.

PositiveResidents and staff are friendly and helpful. food is unremarkable,. Wait time for meals in the dining room are on the average more than 15 minutes.. One of three elevators has been out of service for months (according to long time residents,) which causes wait time at the elevators more than 5 minutes at peak use times. In my apartment the sheer drapery fabric is torn because of age and the drapery for the patio door is missing, one of the pulley cords is a string which does not function. One closet is missing a…
