PositiveWe looked hard at over 25 facilities in the area before choosing Lakepoint for my Mom. It was an excellent decision. The rehab and therapy were superb, the nurse care was constant and thorough. She said, and I quote: “I love this place.” They went on bus outings, played games and socialized, did movies, thrift sales, and more. She was so busy there! Pros: Clean facility, some staff were friendly, locally owned, residents set their own schedule as far as meals, getting up, etc. Cons: Social services coordinator had limited knowledge of available resources and did not assist family to set this up, was not compassionate towards family placing a loved one in long term care, food at the facility was cold many times, staff response times to call lights sometimes was over 30 minutes, some staff were not very we…
