CriticalBeware! Lakeshore Residential Care is absolutely awful. My mother was treated cruelly. My mom has Alzheimer's dementia and when we toured, the director assured us that they could handle her level of need. Within hours of her arrival, my mother was subjected to a level of mistreatment by the director herself that was not only unprofessional, it was downright shocking. My brother and I were blown away with disbelief that a director of a senior citizen facility could be so harsh and mean-spirited. Our mother was there…

CriticalDON'T SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE THERE, My husband has dementia looking for him a place with memory care, I toured this facility, it smelled extremely bad, rooms are small website doesn't represent what you actually see. There were elderly people their suppose to care for, they were not. If you just want to dump your loved one somewhere where their not cared for or given attention then this is the place for you, it's a locked down facility with small staff, most important they don't seem to care at all, I will continue …

CriticalI had no call back or response from this facility after calling for two weeks consecutively for information and contact for a friend as a prospective client admission. This non-existent customer service seems unprofessional, to say the least, and did not bode well for anyone dealing with this facility, which claims to specialize in caring for the elderly.

PositiveLakeshore Residential Care in Oakland has made a huge, positive change in the life of a friend. The facility is clean, I smell delicious food cooking when I visit. The staff is always busy cleaning and caring for residents. The owners are kind and responsive, very understanding.

That was the only place in the bay area that this lady could afford to be in, I'm going to put the value as excellent for cost. When I call there, they answer my questions. They get her on the telephone. When I visit her, they feed me too. Residents are allowed to have a guest for a meal. My mother also loves the fact that the floor has 38 people on it,…
