Living Arrangements We offer a variety of semi-private, studio, and one- and two-bedroom units for our assisted living and memory care residents. Each unit comes with a kitchenette, wheelchair-accessible shower, and individual climate control for optimal comfort. The bedrooms are cozy with delightful views of the surrounding estate and ample closet space. Bathrooms are spacious and equipped with safety features for the utmost privacy and independence. State Classification Landon Ridge at Sugar Land Assisted Living & Memory Care is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
