About Lark Springs

Seniors with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other forms of memory loss often benefit from living in a dedicated memory care community such as Lark Springs. This nonprofit community receives guidance from their managing partner, Greenbrier Senior Living, to provide high-quality care. Lark Springs uses a neighborhood model, making it easy for seniors to feel at home in familial settings. Four separate neighborhoods feature their own living room, kitchen, and dining areas, where residents can get to know their neighbors. Caregivers tend to the same group of residents each day, allowing relationships to form and giving residents an opportunity to bond and build trust with their caregivers. A secure courtyard allows residents to experience all the beauty of Colorado Springs, with views of the bluffs and the woods of Palmer Park. Regular games and social events, along with spiritual and religious services, are offered on-site. Nearby, the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum offers insights to the historical significance of Pikes Peak, while the Peterson Air and Space Museum features a rich military history surrounding the Peterson Air Force Base. State Classification Lark Springs is an assisted living residence , which in the state of Colorado is a residential facility which provides personal services, protective oversight, social care due to impaired capacity to live independently, and 24 hour supervision (but not to the extent that regular 24-hour medical nursing care is required). Assisted living residences may also provide care to no more than 16 elderly persons who are mentally ill. Critical

Loneliest Place

Activities were virtually non-existent, as was communication with the staff. When our mother began to decline into final hours, no one contacted us so that we could be with her. She died within an hour of us being notified that she was eminently dying.

An amazing place for your loved one!

The executive director [name removed] is nothing short of an angel, but all the staff was amazing. Yes, we would recommend Lark Springs to other families based on the experience so far.

Excellent place for my dad

We toured several places for my dad but landed on Lark Springs because of their dedicated memory care facility - the whole place is memory care. It's engulfed ALOT in the past few years and they have lots of activities and the food is great. My dad is stubborn at being social but somehow they manage to keep him engaged. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, but very few activities for resident

There are virtually no coordinated activities for the residents, however some of the individualized care was good. Without family members and outside care organizations (hospice, RMSC, etc), I believe that residents are largely on their own.

our family's wonderful experience

I would rate all a five except #5. That I would give a 6. [name removed], the director, is one of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. She turned a very dark time for our family into something better. We would absolutely 100% recommend this community to other families.

Like set up of facility

My LO adjusted well in two weeks. He came from a larger facility and I think the set up of this location is good. He has smaller room, no shower. This means he has to use the main one, where he gets assistance. He watches TV in the living room, grabs a soda from the kitchen if he is thirsty. Everyone seems happy. Employees are caring and attentive. I am waiting for the summer time so he can see the beautiful outdoors there.
