We’ve been renting for about 5 years, it’s been really disappointing to watch Maplewood go downhill recently. The food seems low quality and not fresh, and it feels like there’s no real care put into it. We’re paying well over [removed price] a month, and it just doesn’t match the quality you’d expect for that price anymore. This is a very good and welcoming facility. The support staff is great! The level of support is great! The atmosphere is great! The programs to involve family with the facility and residents are great! This has been a great move for my father! That being said, there have been some issues. The new website and financial information/integration seem to be ‘a work in progress’. You do need to advocate for your family member regarding issues that come up. We have had some startup issues. Everyone there was helpful and kind, there’s just a few things I’d like to see improved. The refrigerator is small, slightly bigger than a dorm size refrigerator. The microwave is on a shelf above the refrigerator, which I feel is a little high for most people who are elderly people. My mom‘s windows don’t open all the way and they’re kind of difficult for her to open.
