PositiveI loved this tour as it was my second tour of a memory care facility which I feel is the best kind of care for my father at this life stage. I felt it was top notch and I was excited for my father to have such a great opportunity to receive care at a place that he could call learn to call his home. Unfortunately, the location was not ideal for my 83 year old mother to drive and she wanted a closer option.

PositiveI would not recommend the MC unit - it is much more like a long-term care facility where people get parked in front of the TV all day. They schedule 3 activities for the day, but they are almost always cancelled. Some of the staff in MC are burned out and unfriendly, but there are some good staff back there (just not many). The staff in the rest of the facility overall are good and congenial, and the services (housekeeping, PT, OT, etc.) are good. The handoff from sales/signing to the care manager is rocky and too…

PositiveEverything is made fresh! A little on the pricey side, but the Apartments, Personal Care, Aides, Nurses, Chef and management of the facility are wonderful ! We are very happy with our choice for our mom And appreciate your help with locating this facility

CriticalThis building is welcoming, light and airy, and conveniently located with a “being in the country” feel. There are some real bright spots regarding staff and resident services. The nurses are knowledgeable and responsive. The common areas and resident rooms are clean and well maintained, laundry is done with care, and the dining department is helpful with changes in dietary needs. The aides are generally helpful, but often seen congregating in the medical office. Our family has concerns with administrative staffing…

PositiveFirst thing is that my dad really likes the place and is comfortable. I found the staff and residents happy. The facility has a very nice atmosphere, not dark. The only thing that I wonder about is how it was determined that my dad was in need of level three care when we were told he would be a level one or two. There was never an explanation or a call when this was determined. I found out when I received his bill and was surprised as was he.

CriticalThe memory care was absolutely horrible for my mom. Most of the staff was lazy, not educated on dementia, didn't care about anyone but did care about getting their lunch order to Sheetz. The nurses didn't work well with Careline Hospice (horrible too). My dad is in Assisted living, no house doctor for entire building just nurse practioner. He gets evening meds at 9:00pm most nights, most people are sleeping at that hour. Staff isn't consistent, actually short staffed. Some weekends hardly anyone. On tour they make …
