I would tell others looking to make sure and speak to the current residents family members to get a full understanding of care and time provided to the residents before moving in. It all depends on the needs of the family member if this facility is a good fit.

Muirwoods Memory Care review

A few more activities for men even as simple as Sports on TV with someone rooting on teams to make men feel somewhat involved. Chair exercises? A little more not necessarily one on one but individual involvement even if residents are somewhat non responsive. For the cost, there should be more one on one interactions

Review for Muirwoods Memory Care

It's built around a courtyard with large windows letting the light in. Residents are able to walk the full circle around the interior without getting lost. We picked this community, because it was 100% memory care. Also, the sales person, [name removed], was super nice and informative.

Muirwoods is a breath of fresh air for my mom. She was at a different facility for over 2 years that was just k. Being at Muirwoods is like her coming home. The facility is well maintained and the staff are amazing/caring and happy.

Quality Care and Friendly Staff

It can be challenging to find a good place where your parent or loved one who suffers from dementia should live, but when I found out that MuirWoods had an open room, I decided that this would be a safe and welcoming place for my mom. The staff has been very responsive and helpful, from the initial move-in period, to day-to-day interactions we've had during the course of mom's stay here.
