Oak Gardens Place

We were able to receive a Saturday appointment which helped me out a lot due to traveling from another state to take my on the tour. The staff was friendly and informative. They listened to our concerns and made us feel at ease. My Mom liked it so much she chose it as the place for her. A week later, she is moved in and loving it!

All the good things I said before still stand, but we just found out the LTC insurance never received a claim, but their financial person told us back in March he took card of it. I would still recommend, but I would amend my recommendation to say file the insurance claim yourself

[name removed] was great and has wonderful energy. I think she is the reason my mom choice OGP. I appreciate that she repeatedly checked on how my mom was doing after surgery, before my mom even lived there. Our decision to move mom in was spur of the moment, and it did not phase them at all. My mom is enjoying the food and the staff have all been helpful. I did not give a 5 because my mom is still waiting on a copy of her lease. Communication needs improvement

Its a nice place and everyone has been nice. There has been no care conference which has caused a LOT of miscommunication between us and the staff. We no not have very high regard for the nurse, and I have questioned if she actually is a nurse because of the things she has suggested. I do have to say the administrator has been very nice trying to resolve the problems but he has so much on his plate that its hard to get his time. He's wonderful working on behalf of the residents though.

There is always room for improvement. The staff are all friendly and professional to everyone from the residents to family members. The facility is not too small but also not too large to be overwhelming for the residents.
