PositiveIt was good. Walked the facility and saw some of the staff also saw the two rooms available they we good. It’s all about how they will look after him and how often the service will be performed in the time… meaning how often they was for elderly people how often they check on him. It seems as though during the tour it seemed as though the residents seem to be happy and rearing to go for the activities

Don't believe everything you read in online reviews, even this one. Go visit every single place you are considering. Visit more than once, at different times of day and on different days. Every person is different, with different tastes, different desires, and different needs. No place is perfect, but for Dad, Oakmont was a great option. My mom stayed there less than a week. She was misled into believing the Oakmont staff who told her they have an independent living program. They don't. She found out very quickly as they wanted her to wear a tracking device and wanted her to check in & out every time she left the building. They were extremely rude when she informed them she was living out. It’s very challenging as a loved one of someone in a care facility. It would be really helpful if the different facilities would clearly articulate what they can do, what is challenging without additional training and which services they absolutely cannot provide.
