Oakmont of San Jose

It was good. Walked the facility and saw some of the staff also saw the two rooms available they we good. It’s all about how they will look after him and how often the service will be performed in the time… meaning how often they was for elderly people how often they check on him. It seems as though during the tour it seemed as though the residents seem to be happy and rearing to go for the activities

Kind staff, clean rooms, and a safe environment

Don't believe everything you read in online reviews, even this one. Go visit every single place you are considering. Visit more than once, at different times of day and on different days. Every person is different, with different tastes, different desires, and different needs. No place is perfect, but for Dad, Oakmont was a great option. Oakmont of San Jose

My mom stayed there less than a week. She was misled into believing the Oakmont staff who told her they have an independent living program. They don't. She found out very quickly as they wanted her to wear a tracking device and wanted her to check in & out every time she left the building. They were extremely rude when she informed them she was living out. What we like the most about Oakmont of San Jose is the friendliness, good communication with me, lovely environment. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had.

Small community

What I like the most about the community is the dining service, the food and the staff. Yes I would recommend this community to other families, If they can afford it. Everyone knows everyone.

It’s a nice facility but there are some gaps in terms of the types of services they can effectively provide.

It’s very challenging as a loved one of someone in a care facility. It would be really helpful if the different facilities would clearly articulate what they can do, what is challenging without additional training and which services they absolutely cannot provide.
