PositiveI have been very impressed with Our House Senior Living Memory Care in Wausau. The facility is impeccable and the staff is knowledgeable and caring. The director [name removed] has always been extremely professional and goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe and caring place for your loved one.

PositiveOverall, the building itself is old and some parts need updating. But if you can look past that, our interactions with the directors have been great. I love them, they are fantastic. They have met our family needs, and are so easy to work with. My loved one's quality of life is really great now. Our journey has been nuts with Covid. PositiveWe do not get to go inside occasionally however the bathrooms could be cleaned a little bit better. We do believe our loved one is getting really good care. There is not much activities going on because of covid but occasionally they do have bingo, and some of the staff members there are very caring.

CriticalMy loved one has been there once before and the lady that gave her the reevaluation she gave us the impression that my loved one should be in assisted living and not their memory care. This was disconcerting because she came to this conclusion within only 15 minutes of talking with us. They were not very focused with the care that she needs. The rooms and bathroom were small and my loved one said that she is not happy to be here. She did not like it here.

It is a big adjustment going from a home to a facility where there is a third player involved. It gets frustrating getting things done that have to always be approved.
