CriticalNice Facility Overall
Biggest problem was distance. We wanted to get my friend in at PSV La Canada, but no room was available. Houghton Rd is about 20 miles from where we live, which created problems. Room size, cleanliness were fine. Caregiver staff were pleasant and helpful but my friend was a very difficult person to work with, due to her mental/physical health and completely antisocial attitude. Can't speak to the food or activities, since I never ate there and my friend never participated in any activities.

My mother was only there for two weeks. She had hospice care for that time. She never ate meals or interacted with any of the other residents. The length of time that my mother was there. I was there a good portion of the day. I feel that can't tell much about the food smelled good. Look good. My mom has been at Park Senior Villas in Tucson for several months so far. We visited many facilities in the area and It is overwhelming! Park Senior Villas met our expectations. Small number of people in a home like setting. Family setting for meals, meals are cooked by caregivers. (residences are eating together for their 3 meals), not isolated. This is based off of our experience almost two years ago. I am not sure if things have changed. My father went in to the Villas at Houghton in July, and by February he had died. When he went in, he was able to do all his activities of daily living. Within seven months, he was in diapers and could not get out of bed. he fell several times without staff noticing he was not given his antibiotics as prescribed. They washed his cell phone three times which I had to replace and he never had water or his eyeglasses. I pu…
