About Proverbial Care

At Proverbial Care, our mission is to provide our residents with affordable senior living in a comfortable, intimate, homelike environment. Our caring staff strive to enhance each resident’s quality of life by meeting care needs, social needs, and emotional needs while promoting family participation and community integration. Services and Amenities We are licensed by the state of Texas to provide assisted living care to seniors who can no longer live on their own but are not in need of complex medical care. We offer a full range of affordable, personalized assisted living services, ranging from assistance with daily activities — such as eating, meal planning, bathing, dressing, laundry, and medication management — to a specially designed program for residents with advancing care needs and other forms of impairment. Our community features an enclosed backyard with trees, benches, and a walking trail. We also offer regularly scheduled activities and an engaging recreation program that’s supervised by our staff. We serve three delicious meals a day plus snacks, and we have a dedicated hydration program. One of our most popular services is vanity care for hair and nail styling. Living Arrangements and Unit Features Our 16-bed community offers private and semi-private rooms that come with a number of different features and options. Residents can select a fully furnished bedroom with all utilities included, and we provide complete maintenance of the home and grounds. Care Types Offered Proverbial Care is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program.
