Peace of Mind

I like the setting in a nice gated community with beautiful views. I moved my Mom here because she doesn't like to be around a lot of people, due partly because of her poor hearing. She has her own private room and doesn't have to socialize with other occupants, just the caregivers. I would recommend it, if you don't like social activities.

Personalized care in a beautiful, intimate setting.

The beautiful home at Rancho Santa Fe Villa was always kept spotless and clean. Located in an exclusive residential community, it was a very clean facility at all times. The staff was very caring and friendly, taking a personal interest in my mother and our family. My mother required more personalized services than most other patients due to her memory issues and her need for people to talk to. Staff members are available around-the-clock at Rancho Santa Fe Villa, a memory care facility in San Diego, California. Seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease can participate in suitable activities that keep them interested and active. It's a guarded building. Residents at Rancho Santa Fe Villa may be allowed to own a dog or cat, and pet sitting is offered. Before my parents moved into [removed], we toured this complex.

Not an Ideal place for mom

The owner of this facility promised a lot but delivered on very little. My mother was there for 6 months and communication with Ray, the owner, was intermittent. His demeanor is concerning as I did not believe my mother was being left in the best care. I do not believe he screens his caregivers well enough as in the 6 months being there, we saw 5 different individuals. Either he doesn't pay his staff or there are character issues. My mother has been living at Rancho Santa Fe Villa since 2010. She has always been very well cared as the staff is very kind and responsive to her needs. Also the quality of the meals and snacks are excellent and plentiful. Families will routinely dine with their parents at the home and are made to feel welcome and clearly enjoy the meals. My wife and I have been at this 6 bed assisted living facility for almost 3 years. It is a beautiful home in a prestige area of north San Diego. The home has panoramic views of the rolling hills. Sometimes we see the hot air balloons go by. The facility is clean and tidy. My wife is 83 and I am 88. She is assisted living/memory and I am independent living.
