My mom has been at St Lorenz for six years. Each time I visit I am struck to see how happy all of the residents are, including my mom. My mom is not interested in socializing, and after some earnest attempts, the staff realized she was serious. She gets her meals in her room, delivered cheerfully and without comment. The care is personalized; my mom likes snacks, she gets snacks and the snack she requested. Many of the residents are nonverbal or low verbal. The facility was fairly nice but not set up for skilled care. The bathrooms not big enough nor the rooms if one has problems getting on and off toilet or getting into bed. Most of the staff helpful and friendly but not enough of them to assist with two person assists.
