PositiveOur families experience
Not sure, as they are short staffed. They are trying to keep up. The staff and the residents are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Not sure, as they are short staffed and trying to keep up. The administration is friendly and trying to take care of requests. The food needs a little more variety. They did a survey for July request, so we will see how it goes. They need more activities. Need a full staff, caregivers, maintenance, housekeeping and dining room servers.

They represented several things in the beginning negotiation that later turned out to not be correct. For instance, they said that the dog would be included, and that care would be provided by their staff. That turned out not to be the case and we later had to hire someone to help us. There was also $[removed] one time pet fee added. Also, their prescription system is very difficult. We found that there was many delays with getting prescriptions and had to intervene multiple times with the doctors and staff. Howeve…

This community is the best in the area! As a nurse myself I have toured all of the communities and chose to put my mom in here because staffing was great, food was delicious (really good food), the lifestyle engagement was top tier! One day they all went on a Dolphin Cruise in Destin, weekly trips to the beach that are handicap friendly, another time there was a huge party with line dancing, and every night there is happy hour. Somerby is inviting and the staff are welcoming and helpful with all my mother's questions and needs.
