Set on the fertile boundary between the low hills of Texas and the flat coastal plains of the Gulf of Mexico, the city of Tomball’s roots date back to the early days of the railroad. Originally named Peck, the town changed its name in 1907 to honor lawyer Thomas Henry Ball, who convinced the railroad to run the line through town. Southern Knights Assisted Living Center sits on a quiet residential street, across from a grove of trees, just south from the center of Tomball. With a variety of activities for residents, and frequent celebrations, there is a little bit of the city’s motto — “Tomball: Texan for fun” — in everything Southern Knights does. Southern Knights Assisted Living Center Services and Amenities Whether residents choose independent living, assisted living, or memory care options, at Southern Knights, everyone is treated like family. Independent living residents at Southern Knights will find their private residences feel just like home, without the hassle of all the chores and upkeep. Life is just a little easier here, with two meals of choice each day, as well as an open invitation to participate in a number of social activities and outings. Assisted living residents get a little more support with activities of daily living. They are free to relax in the comfortable library and lounge area, and enjoy three meals per day in the spacious community dining room. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided, so the only thing you’ll have to think about is choosing which fun activity to participate in. The memory care program was designed to support those with memory issues, while helping preserve their dignity and offer the highest level of independence. The Southern Knights staff are on-site 24 hours daily and work with residents and their families to create a personalized service plan. In addition, staff is able to help offer coordination with health care providers. Southern Knights Living Arrangements With the variety of options available, life at Southern Knights couldn’t be easier. Independent living resident cottages include: Washer and dryer All kitchen appliances One-car garage with automatic door opener Covered front porch All utilities Basic cable Emergency call system Central heating and air conditioning The spacious, private assisted living and memory care suites are 300 square feet and include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
