Overall cooperative, caring community

[name removed] was at SL Burnsville about 6 weeks. Then he moved to SL Inver Grove. Both places have been easy to work with, staff is cooperative and friendly. It's been an adjustment for us, but I'm confident we are at the right place for him. I would definitely would recommend them to others who are currently searching for memory care for their loved one.

Has gone downhill

It was wonderful at first, but then it started going downhill. I would go in there and no one was supervising them several times in the morning Mom was not being helped the way she needed to be. They lost her teeth and still can't find them for over a month, I know they are trying to make it better But it's very frustrating. They don't have enough staff for the amount of people that they have in there and some staff would rather not even be there.

While staffing in any Senior Living has been a major challenge over the last five years and continuing on, Suite Living has invested into their own pool staff of 50 employees who get paid a higher wage to float to any community who has a need any shift 7 days a week. Our staffing ratio is 5 AM , 5 PM, 3 Overnight. We obtain these ratios by having the float staff able to fill in. We have had many of the same dedicated employees as caregivers, management, nursing and upper management since Burnsville opened. We get alot of really great compliments so this review is definitely not one that truly represents our quality of care we provide our residents. Our Management team is on call 24/7 for staffing, it takes a strong dedicated village and we have that.

Suite Living of Burnsville review

My mother loves it. Everyone is very attentive. The previous chef was "wonderful". He passed away apparently and the newer one is not as good. Variety is not as diverse.

Would recommend

It's been almost two years since mom passed so my comments aren't up to date. They were short staffed at the time we were there so that was difficult but they were trying hard. All in all we had a good experience there and would recommend it to others.

Our families experience

When it comes to the meals and dining our loved one feels the food is very bland & portions small. The value for cost is comparable to others and we would recommend Suite Living on Burnsville to other families based on our experience

Highly recommend

The staff I felt truly cared for our mother. At the time our mother was there, they were a little bit short staffed though, I am hoping that is better by now. I would overall highly recommend Suite Living of Burnsville based off of our families experience with them.
