Summerfield of Fresno

The Community Relations Manager was very open and willing to answer any questions about the facility. I really like the community home feeling about this memory care facility. The rooms are Private Studios, nicely decorated and with thought to the comfort of the client. The expense is comparable to other memory care facilities in the area. Many of the staff have worked there for several years which says a lot about their integrity.

My partner was there almost 2 years

I can say when you love your person that you are adding to a memory care program, no place is perfect, but I can say Summerfield is probably the best for compassion with the ones living there. My [name removed] got to go to church on Sundays in the facility and loved the workers thinking one was his daughter. I toured Summerfield, looking for a memory care facility for a relative. It came highly recommended, and I was not disappointed. The facility was clean and the staff introduced themselves throughout the entire tour. I did find the layout a bit confusing and somewhat outdated. Summerfield would’ve been a strong contender were it not such a distance from my home.

Peace of mind

The staff is very helpful with keeping me informed of my loved ones status, texting updates, phone calls, FaceTime-if needed since I live 40 minutes away. They are very personable. Facility is not too large to be overwhelming. Feel confident that he is in a good environment.

Summerfield of Fresno

My mother has been a resident at Summerfield for over a year. I visit her almost every day and have always found the facility to be neat and clean. They have lots of engaging activities and entertainment, for the residents and offer field trips as well. Recently, they have started hosting a weekly luncheon to which family members are invited. The staff is patient and kind to the residents and feed them fresh, healthy food. Medications and their physical wellbeing is carefully monitored. It is a relief knowing that …

Would not recommend

This place is under staffed with very poor staff training. The person who’s responsible in the care department isn’t very present in the community. I have waited to speak to him many times. This place is nowhere near a five star community. Food is bland, the serving is not enough for one person. Staff members do not know what they are doing.
