A Place for Mom

Our mother fought moving to assisted living for a long time. We searched many places and Sunnybrook, in Brunswick, Maine proved the most comfortable and welcoming right from the initial visit. She has been there six months now and couldn't be happier. The nursing care is top notch. They manage her medications, and offer personal services specific to her needs such as physical therapy twice a week. So happy a place like this exists

My brother and I toured 3 different facilities. We chose Sunnybrook because we got a great vibe and it was the only one that we could really see her being happy here. The size, the staff, the tour, everything was great. We were able to tour the assisted living building and the memory care unit (which is just a mile down the road). We liked both parts, especially knowing that if she needs to go to memory care, it would be the same facility and staff members. A big factor for my mom as well was that they allowed her …

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The community was clean and maintained. They did not have a lot of walking. They had a list of activities that would have been helpful. We liked the staff who were kind and helpful for the questions on the care that is offered. We would recommend that other families tour this community for the care needed for a loved one.

The Executive Director was very kind and helpful. I liked the layout of the apartments. We are considering this option.

Sunnybrook Village is very homey. The staff is really good at handling a difficult transition. They promote a welcoming group among the residents. They really helped mom integrate. The only thing that would help make everything a five is to have a better range of activities. I would like to see them do more with their activity schedule. For example they tried to have pets there periodically but couldn't always pull that together. I would also like to see some more crafts or recreational activities. But it has made …
