The Commons at Elk Grove

It was very nice! I really liked it!!! However the room was small. We found another place that was less money and bigger rooms.

Do not recommend

The commons is not upfront about pricing. The continuously added charges that were not agreed upon. Also charged care fees when my mom was in the hospital for surgery and no longer lived there. I had to fight to get the fees removed. They are on the verge of fraud when it comes to erroneous charges.

The tour was excellent. The explanation was good, and covered nearly 100% of the checklist. I liked the building, the staff attituded, and the folks I met. The place is pet friendly. I think my mother-in-law would like it at The Commons. The only downside is that I now feel pressured to act immediately and place a deposit on a room when my father-in-law just died and my mother-in-law is not yet ready. This moved my rating down from a 5 to a 4.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us whenever they passed us. Didn’t see many residents, but those we did see seemed happy and friendly. It was a small community that felt cozy and easy to get around.

Nice place if that’s all you need. As far as care, good luck. You will not receive it if you are an elder who needs attending to. Mother fell twice under their care. Was ambulance twice!! Staff cannot handle those who need hands on care. The sold us in it, but did not deliver. It’s a sale they want. Laundry, poor, meals, the same menu for one month, care, dangerous. Good if you are completely independent, if not, I pity you.

Excellent Assisted Living Community in the heart of Elk Grove

Very supportive staff here, plus friendly and caring! We would recommend to others and actually have made referrals to a couple of families. Our Dad absolutely loves it here!
