Good and Bad

Positives: the medical staff jumps on it if they think my dad is ill, and the caregivers make my dad feel special. Negatives: food is below average, housekeeping is below average, the director still doesn't return email, things disappear in laundry, dad recently fell due to loose rug at front door. I would recommend to others but add that management is lacking so don't be shy about pushing for what is needed.

We just want you to know that we both relished our recent visit at your community. Your exceptional amenities are really overwhelming and your restaurant-style dining is delicious. The lady guide [name removed] is extremely gracious and detail oriented. We are grateful for your kindness and generous hospitality. You can be sure that when the time comes your community will be the top on our list.

So far I would say it's been fair. The A/C and heat have been an issue since prior to move in. The staff has been excellent. We have only been here a short time. The floor plan we chose is quite spacious and has a wonderful view. The food/dining has been satisfactory thus far. It is under new management, so we will see what directions things go.

She is a caring soul who truly understands the needs of her residents and does an awesome job of helping them while keeping the families informed. We really liked the Forum at Memorial Woods. It was clean, beautiful, spacious, full of amenities and activities. The dealbreaker to us, however, was that we could not actually “age in place“, in the independent living apartment, we would start residing in. If one of us needed additional help, or assisted living, that person would either have to move into their assisted living area, or we would have to pay for outside, help to come in and help us in our independent living apartment.
