The Glenwood Assisted Living of Effingham

Awesome!!

They are a great team!! We love the staff??. They treat Mom like one of their own. She really enjoys the entrees and desserts. The cooks are excellent in trying different recipes. They always encouraging in her therapy with her family walking the hallways.

Do not recommend

I would tell others looking to ask about what the staff covers in helping the residents, and about the nurse! The cleaning of the residence needs to be looked over. And spiders and bugs?! There's so much they need to know should ask a lot of questions! I would not recommend The Glenwood based off of our personal experience.

The staff is polite and has good knowledge of activities, menu and other amenities offered. This home has a nice dinning room, with a menu posted daily. The building design does not flow with each hallway being a dead end, which could be confusing. The court yard has an open concept, not enclosed. An enclosed courtyard gives a more cozy atmosphere. As for an Assisted Living dwelling, the atmosphere smells more like a Nursing Home. Even though this Assisted Living is much closer to my home, I declined renting an ap…

Exceptional Care

The Glenwood has provided exceptional care for my mother. Who has lived there for the past year. The staff are all caring and respectful of the residents. They put a effort into providing daily varied and interesting activities. There is a hair salon onsite medical providers come on making care of parents easier. My mother love living here.
