I informed [name removed] I most likely would move with [name removed] and foresee it to be at least 8 months to a year out. PositiveFirst of all , my mother is on the 3rd floor which is memory care. Very different from AL. Most of the staff are very active and hands on. The laundry dept. is great on providing clean laundry but mixes up clothing regularly. I gave up trying to corral my mother’s clothing. She wears whatever. She is kept clean though and that is what is important. One thing – my mother’s wheel chair keeps disappearing and she ends up with another one even though I put her name on the one she came in with. PositiveI looked at multiple places for my mother. She needed a place that offers independent living and a great social calendar. I looked at a The Grande three times before making my final decision to have my mother become a resident there. Each time I went I observed how the staff treated my mother and the current residents. PositiveSome of the rooms are quite large. The food isn't great. They have a fabulous activities daily. The common rooms are very nice, lots of space. The area outdoor is very nice and quiet, lovely to sit out.
