Positive- great choice for my mom. Glad we chose The Grove at Trelago.
The Grove has been a great place for my mom- the staff is very caring. My only concern has been that turnover in management has been more frequent than I expected but maybe that is typical with places. My mom is still very happy there. The staff is WONDERFUL. Truly caring. My mom is less involved in the many activities on offer but never misses a Happy Hour. I have 3 friends who moved their parents here because of my recommendations.

The Grove is wonderful. Great staff. Happy caring place. My first contact with rest of staff was watching them play laser-tag with the clients. All of the clients were laughing - weather the clients we're watching or playing!

Quality of care - The Grove has 4 levels of care. During the initial assessment at admitting, level 3 was recommended. A year passed and we have had to reduce the level of care because we found that most were either not needed or they were not being provided. Example - no one assists in getting ready for bed. As a result, my wife sleeps in her clothes. In the morning, an aide looks in on her and sees that she is dressed so she leaves. This goes on for a few days until someone notices that she has been wearing the s…

The executive director is wonderful. So responsive and passionate about elder care and The Grove. The building is beautiful, and the apartments really feel like home. The finishes are beautiful. The location was perfect for my mother in law. Being able to move from independent living to assisted living to memory care when she needs is important to her, and she can age in place at this location.
