PositiveWonderful and caring staff - always friendly and willing to assist with anything. My mom is cared for and loved. If you are looking for a place then look no farther because they truly are the best at making everything as to close to being at home as possible. I have had nothing but great experience with facility.

PositiveGreat facility but cleaning staff keeps coming and going so lacks in that area but otherwise i would recommend staff is very friendly caring and welcoming my mom loves it and always lots of activities available if residents want to participate

CriticalMy honest answer is that Mom did not have a great or even decent experience at Oaks. Her clothing and other valuables were often (over and over) stolen from the workers, who had no accountability as to their theft, by management. In addition, the food they served was really horrible! Many days they served potato chips as a 'vegetable'. The bottom line is that after Mom repeatedly said to me: 'I feel so violated.' CriticalFood is not nourishing and usually almost inedible - the taste and quality is so very bad. Thievery is so common and not even commented upon by management. My Mom has said to me so many times: ‘I feel so violated.’ (From the stealing of even the smallest of her belongings.)

PositiveIf your family member is still able to get around and can perform daily tasks with some assistance, the Oaks at Cedar Shoals is a great option. It is well run and the staff are very loving and caring towards all of the residents.
