This private gated neighborhood offers a variety of home designs that span across 4,596 acres, yet provides a small-town charm. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, The Landings on Skidaway offers homeowners easy access to many attractions. The Village is conveniently located minutes from the community’s main gate and has a supermarket, bank, gas station, restaurant, pharmacy, and much more. The Landings on Skidaway Island Amenities The Landings on Skidaway Island offers homeowners a wide selection of resort-style amenities spread throughout The Landings’ neighborhoods. There are four clubhouses and restaurants, a fitness and wellness center, two indoor pools, three outdoor pools, six championship golf courses, 34 tennis courts, 40 miles of walking trails, and two marinas. The Oakridge neighborhood amenities provide the majority of the physical activities at the Oakridge Fitness & Wellness Center. This 48,000 square-foot facility provides members with locker rooms, two indoor pools, steam rooms, an aerobics and dance studio, a pilates and spin bike studio, a lounge, and an outdoor pool and spa. After a day of working out, members can enjoy a delicious meal at the Oakridge Steak & Pub. Other amenities include an athletic field used for lacrosse, soccer, basketball or baseball, a dog park, and Skidaway Farms, which is a two-acre farm consisting of garden plots, raised beds, and a honey bee hive. The Rookery is a nesting ground where residents can watch a variety of bird species. Although membership is optional, it is required to access the amenities. There are different levels of membership options for residents to choose from that range from a full membership, which includes all golf courses, clubhouse amenities and social activities to a house membership that only includes access to clubhouse restaurants, the Marshwood pool, and social events. The Landings on Skidaway Island Homes & Real Estate Construction of The Landings on Skidaway Island began in the 1970s by multiple builders. There are eight neighborhoods that make up The Landings that include Marshwood, Plantation, Franklin Creek, Midpoint, Oakridge, Deer Creek, Marshview and Moon River. Each subdivision has a distinct style of homes. The Marshwood neighborhood features island-style homes and the Oakridge neighborhood has two-story homes with stucco facades. The Landings will have 4,422 homes upon completion, and about 4,000 of those residences have already been constructed. The remaining lots are available for new construction custom home designs. Homebuyers can choose from attached homes and single-family residences. All homesites come with different types of views like wooded, golf course, river, marsh, island and waterfront views. Attached homes are either one or two-story residences that range from approximately 1,700 to just over 2,000 square feet. They have two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms and a one-car garage or carport space. There are a variety of single-family residences within The Landings on Skidaway Island. The majority of the community consists of single-family homes that range from approximately 1,500 to almost 5,000 square feet. Homes have two to five bedrooms, two to six bathrooms, and two-car garages. The majority of residents of The Landings enjoy low-maintenance homes. The homeowners’ association (HOA) fee includes gated security, landscaping, street light repair, and common area maintenance.
