My family and myself are very happy with the experience at the lodge.

All areas are 5 stars. But her monthly rate it's very expensive. The staff has been very helpful and courteous to my wife. they do not hesitate to call me if there are needs for my wife. The facility is very nice and and well kept.

Her new family

The lodge was so helpful through this process. She appears to be very comfortable in her room, Which is a shared bathroom. She appears to be very satisfied with her meals.

Amazing Community

This community was by far the only good community within Carson City. The team members had a genuine care for my moms well being and her overall happiness. The food wasn't amazing, but it certainly wasn't horrible. They did a change over in the kitchen to something called Compass - though not sure it actually helped them at all. My mom loved being in the community and it truly felt like a family walking in. The community is only as good as you make it - were there some issues in the first few weeks? Yes. Were they

Response from the community

Thank you so much, Susan, for sharing your thoughtful and honest review. We’re truly grateful to hear how much your mom felt at home here and that our team’s care made a lasting impression. Transitions can be challenging, and we’re glad we could work through those early bumps together to create a positive experience. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we’re honored to have been part of your mom’s journey.

Critical

Proceed with Caution

I would advise families to read the contract carefully. The Lodge uses language that attempts to make the family or POA liable for costs if the resident's resources are inadequate. I would also consider how active my loved one is, the Lodge does not have much space to move around in and the activities really lacked imagination when my loved one was there. Finally, the food was terrible. I would consider my loved ones behavior issues. Explore their protocol for handling outbursts and defiance. These are common deme

I thought the staff was generally ok. Their best memory person left shortly after my loved one arrived I think because of some internal issues, but no one would say exactly what happened. She had been there like 15 years. They also seem to have a lot of new employees, so I don't know what is going on there. I never had any problem with any staff. I think my biggest concern was there didn't seem to be a lot of effort put into activity for the residents. No regular exercise program and not very engaging other activit
