Since relocating to Texas in 2014, I had visited several "adult" facilities over the years, even though many were out of my price range, the hospitality towards a visitor was disappointing . The first contact with ' A Place for Mom, and especially the initial contact with The Oaks at Plano was warm and inviting. I felt like I belonged!

Close place for my mom

It is a place where mom can remain independent and also have activities, meals and friends. Unhappy that they lost their chef and now dining is closed 2 day a week. Also maintained request are very slow to get completed

The Oaks is very much like a small community. There are lots of trees with a path and individual housing. It also has a library, exercise and dining areas. The kitchen is open so one can see the meals being prepared. The residents are very friendly. I looked at two apartments and they were very clean. The Oaks is a place that I would love to become my home.

The Oaks in Plano offers a variety of services for older tenants. I was shown a 1 bedroom and den apt that offered a perfect atmosphere for senior living. Lots of closet space, lovely porch area. Wood blinds on windows and no carpeting, which is a plus in my book. I prefer sweeping to vacuuming anyway and have always hated carpeting on homes. Prices are a bit high, but not impossible to deal with. Gated community and a welcoming admin center offering optional meals for tenants. Highly recommend!!

What a beautiful place!

Recently visited a friend here. Love the layout of the grounds and the trees. We had lunch in the dining room. What a beautiful space, there’s even a cute library, and lots of rooms for activities. The food was great! Be sure and keep the Chef. Had the pleasure of meeting [name removed] while I as here what a sweet young lady. She was friendly, knowledgeable,, and professional. We’ll keep this place in mind for when I’m ready.
