PositivePark Lane is VERY convenient if you're still driving, to many different resources in Monterey. If you are not driving they provide chauffeurs to many different shopping areas. The BEST is I met a woman and we fell in LOVE and I moved in together with her, and "It's getting better all the time"!
Response from the communityHi Anonymous, your feedback and high star rating mean a lot to us. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review for our community!

PositiveI found the staff very helpful and felt the room was nice. I also worked the most with [name removed] and I found her lovely and efficient My aunt was there for respite care and did not really want to be there - she simply wanted to be at home.
Response from the communitySusan, thank you for sharing these kind words with us about our community. It means the world to our team at The Park Lane!

CriticalAlmost daily music entertainment a positive. Happy hours and Ice-cream socials nice. Maintenance actions slow. Some discrepencies noted upon check in still not resolved after a year+. Add to that, a new roof leak and mold now in one bedroom ceiling. They are "Working on it". Rent increased 10% after one year. Exterior items like stairway bannister rickety. Hallway carpeting stained and worn. Staff generally unresponsive to requests regarding billing, parking, use of computer/printer in public space, etc.

We’re very happy to hear that our activities and social gatherings have been such a positive part of your experience. We recognize that there are areas where we can improve and we’ve imposed several community-wide improvements. We have implemented building repairs, renovations, and a new work-order tracking system. We would appreciate an opportunity to speak to you in-person regarding your concerns. Please stop by and speak with our Executive team.

CriticalLack of organization from billing to medication management. I wouldn’t recommend
Response from the communityThank you for taking the time to share your feedback, though we regret that this has been your experience with us. Providing accurate billing, organized medication management, and consistent communication is a cornerstone of senior living. We have recently implemented several operational changes to improve overall resident service and communication. We always appreciate hearing from family members and residents about where we can improve.

CriticalI think the PARK LANE is heading downhill...only time will tell. Like I have been saying, this place is going downhill and I believe because the top is bleeding off the money from the bottom so the bottom is leaving constantly for higher wages elsewhere...less and less capable people are replacing them. Good luck with that sequence
Response from the communityWe apologize that this has been your experience with us. Staffing changes are difficult on everyone, and it is our goal to make sure we end up with the best possible team in the end. Our hope is to make positive changes, and that this is a community everyone can feel proud to call home.

CriticalThey could improve upon a lot. Right now they're going through bankruptcy so it's hard to know what's going to happen moving forward. They need better leadership, more maintenance staff, better food, more activities for the truly active people (plenty for more of the less active or disabled folks right now). They have good communication. The people who work there are VERY nice. They also make sure they hear from every resident in the morning (via a button they have to push) so I know my mom is safe at the very leas…
Response from the communityWe are always open to constructive feedback, and we appreciate the positive comments about our staff and communication. We will discuss your suggestions at the next staff management meeting.
