About The Plantation The Plantation by Pulte Homes is a master-planned community in Fort Myers, Florida consisting of two neighborhoods. Construction started in 2006 and upon completion this gated community will have 1,100 homes consisting of attached villas, carriage homes, and single-family homes. Residents of The Plantation enjoy resort-style amenities, access to an 18-hole championship golf course, and a variety of floor plans with main-level living. The Plantation Amenities The Plantation offers three amenity centers within the community. The Plantation s 38,000 square-foot clubhouse, Great House, provides members with access to the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Hurdzan-Fry. With a social or golf membership, The Plantation golf members can utilize the driving range. This impressive clubhouse delivers a relaxing atmosphere with an outdoor terrace that overlooks Sunset Lagoon. Residents of The Plantation can gather here with friends and family to enjoy a meal in the main dining room at Dartington's Restaurant & Bar or host a large event in the banquet room. Bridgetown Hall is the heart of the Bridgetown subdivision s social scene. This 9,000 square-foot activity center provides a fitness center complete with cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Outdoors residents can enjoy a match at one of the six tennis courts, a game of basketball or bocce ball. The Plantation Homes & Real Estate Pulte Homes began construction of The Plantation in 2006 and this master-planned community offers new and resale homes with a variety of floor plans. The Plantation has two separate communities, Somerset and Bridgetown. Bridgetown has attached villas and single-family homes and Somerset has single-family homes and carriage homes. Carriage homes are attached homes that have four to six units per building. These units are first- or second-floor residences that range from 1,654 to 2,464 square feet with two to four bedrooms. Carriage homes at The Plantation include an attached two-car garage with every unit. Another home style at The Plantation is the villa homes. There are two villa floor models in these attached duplexes. The Bedford features 1,557 square feet of living space with two bedrooms and a den that can be converted to a third bedroom, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. A slightly larger villa floor plan is provided with the Camden that features 1,809 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and a den, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Single-family homes are ideal for today's active adult as the majority of the models provide single-level living. Floor plans range from 1,641 to 3,197 square feet of living space and feature two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and an attached two to three-car garage. True to Pulte's reputation, these homes are top of the line and offer stainless steel kitchen sinks, granite countertops, and energy-efficient appliances.
