PositiveStaff were very compassionate and took good care of our mom. I would recommend to others.

CriticalRoom was great, clean. Staff was well-trained, patient and kind. My husband was only there 3 days, then they called an ambulance and transferred him to the hospital where he had emergency surgery, and was in the hospital for 10 days. After that, he no longer needed assisted living, and they were inflexible about the finances and would not refund anything.

PositiveIt's 5 stars for me thus far. Of particular note, their nursing supervisor is world class. The staffing ratio is excellent and the communication has been top notch. They immediately caught a medication issue and Linda has improved dramatically since moving in. The room is larger than anticipated and the staff is welcoming and professional. PositiveI was pleased with their professionalism and friendliness. The facilities were very nice. We were out of town, so we didn't see [name removed] during His stay. They provided it during His stay, but told me they would not be able to so again in the future.

PositiveAll staff are very kind and good with my mom. My mom has been difficult to deal with at times so I appreciate them taking care of her even in the hard times. The food is good. I've only had a couple meals with my mom but it always looks good and seems to be plenty of food for her. The facility is always clean and doesn't have a bad odor at all. They have recently been painting the hallway walls and common areas and it looks really nice. Carpet is scheduled to be replaced very soon.

PositiveI had my doubts about placing my Father into assisted care after his short term memory significantly declined, but Astor Place has been an absolute Godsend. They worked hard to train staff and place my Mom with him there too. They absolutely make it feel as close to home as possible. A special shout out to [name removed] who absolutely treats my dad like family and appreciation for head nurse [name removed]for all she did to unite my parents with complex medical conditions. Wholeheartedly recommend Astor Place for …
