CriticalMost dealings were with receptionist vs administrative staff and she appeared to be quite knowledgeable. Not all care staff implemented orders given by doctor or hospice. Some staff unaware of orders, others just didn't do them. At times med techs became defensive if asked why something was being done in a particular way ie: medications. Some staff members were exceptional! Activities not varied enough, primarily bingo or watch a movie. Band/music days were well attended and seemed to be well liked. At times it was…
Response from the communityGood afternoon. Thank you very much for your feedback, we take it very seriously. We audit our med carts regularly and have not found any medication errors this week. Does your loved one currently live with us? Can you please reach out to me so that we can get your concerns addressed and find out what medications you are talking about? Also, if you have any activities that you would like to see your loved one partake in, we are always up for suggestions. We can also review out activity calendar with you and find out which ones your loved one likes best. Looking forward to addressing this all with you in person or over the phone. The rest I will address with our staff. Thank you.

PositiveMy loved one really likes it at Vaca Valley. Very nice people and staff are very friendly and helpful. I would tell others if you have any concerns, always ask as I do. I'm very observant and very critical. They always respond with a very nice demeanor. They always welcome everyone as you come in to the building and always ask if there is anything they can help with

PositiveWe toured Vaca Valley Living when looking for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. This facility was nice! We had a very nice tour. However, there was not a very large patio for walking. We decided to continue on with our search.
