The food appears to be good They are very punctual with weekly room cleaning The facility has a nice outdoor area - lawn and fountain with good seating

it's a comfortable and welcoming community.

I would say five. They've created a very caring community and it's welcoming. It's quiet, people look out for each other, and people are treated with respect.

Valley Orchards So Far

The entire staff has been friendly and helpful. Valley Orchards is a clean and well-maintained community. Breakfast menus are reliable, while lunch and dinner are somewhat less so, rescued by a healthy salad bar.

A nice place ... but becomes difficult and/or complicated if the elder declines

Well my brother has dementia which sadly is progressing, so we'll probably have to move him soon. We currently have an outside small company providing personal care - helping him shower and wash his clothes. Which of course, we pay for. It'd be nice if that was available there. Moving an elder is hard on them... it'll be hard for him. I'd be nice if they could provide those services so he didn't have to move....

Mom loves view of large Redwood trees

Mom has lived here for 2 years and is very pleased with her choice. The staff is friendly and really cares. The grounds are kept tidy. Apts have patios or balcony with either a view of the garden or the large Redwoods. Favorite amenities include weekly housekeeping, raised bed gardening, library, on site beauty parlor, games, exercise class, bingo, free laundry and field trips (picnics, Bodega Bay, shopping trips, restaurant trips, smart train and casino trips).
