My aunt and her partner lived in one of the independent living cottages for several years. Last year my aunt fell and was taken to the hospital for a serious head injury. Despite the fact that the person on duty at the desk called the paramedics, no one bothered to call my aunt's emergency contact and sent her partner (who has moderate dementia) back to their cottage with no support. My 91 year old mother has moderate dementia and has been in assisted living at Village on the Park @ Onion Creek for over 3 years and we have been very pleased with this community.
