Residents have the choice of a studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartment, each one complete with a kitchenette, full bath, and a range of other amenities. No matter where you are in your senior living journey, Windermere Estates is there to provide expert care in a family atmosphere. State Classification Windermere Estates Senior Living is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents. PositiveWindermere is a wonderful facility. Everyone was so nice from the cleaning ladies to the staff members. They each said hello as I walked by. The Director, [name removed] was absolutely fabulous!! She asked what I was looking for and she showed me everything she had that met my criteria. She gave me a tour of the entire facility and showed me all of the activities and special outings that Mom would be privy to. I looked at several other facilities before and after Windermere, but none of them impressed me as much…

Positive-Staff has been really friendly. -Can't speak to activities because dad won't do any. -He complains about the food, I've never tried it. -public areas are clean and attractive. -rooms are small (not sure how they compare to other facilities), though bathroom space and closet space seem generous.

CriticalThe staff was nice, however, I think they are understaffed. The food was sometimes served cold and was mediocre at best. Facility was kept clean and tidy.
