ActivCare Laguna Hills welcomes seniors to a memory care community with a warm, homelike atmosphere. The community is located near the coastline in the suburban area of Laguna Hills, California, which is less than 15 miles southeast of Irvine. ActivCare Laguna Hills provides specialized memory care for residents in all stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, including hospice care. All care services are accompanied with long-term living accommodations. Highly trained caregivers and on-site licensed nursing staff provide round-the-clock memory care, including but not limited to incontinence assistance, diabetes care, and overall health monitoring. In addition to specialized training, caregivers undergo continuous memory care education programs to stay up to date on current practices. The community separates residents according to the stage of memory loss they are experiencing. In each of these five neighborhoods, residents can choose between spacious, modern private and semi-private bedrooms. While living at ActivCare Laguna Hills, residents have access to charming amenities and a stimulating activity program. Featured throughout the community are beautiful murals, like the ocean wall painting in the restaurant-style dining room or the fields throughout the common areas. When not socializing during meals or snack time, seniors can relax outdoors in the spacious courtyard. Socialization is also encouraged through the community’s various daily activities, including tai chi, cornhole, walking club, trivia, exercise, stretching, gardening, and more. All questions get a 5. Before finding this facility, they were at [community removed]. They told me they could handle them from assisted living until death. They grossly over sold their memory care division. They did not have an educated staff to handle the easiest of situations. Activate has been excellent. My father passed away on [date removed]& they handled it perfectly. Even minimizing the effect on my Mom afterwards! I have been there during shift changes, meals, special events and witness their everyday routines.
