1. There was no where to park. I had to park next door in front of an aapartment. 2. When I walked through the door I could smell urine. 3. I was greeted warmly when I arrived. 4. The room I toured was small and there was very little room for storage. 5. The place was warm and pleasant; although I thought it seemed dark.

Do you due diligence

My husband was a resident at this facility until his passing September. The staff, including care givers, med techs, receptionist and housekeepers, are compassionate and skilled. However, there is a lot of staff turnover, which alters adversely staff to patient ratio. Should you be a cash paying client, there is a definite lack with regard to their accounting procedures and, as one complainant mentioned, lots of lip service. This facility doesn't pay it contractors. Did work for them that they asked for then 2 months later, they decide they don't want to pay. Must be having some financial issues. Please do your due diligence when placing a loved one. You've been warned.

Grateful that Avamere Reached Out to Us

We've been very happy with their care of my sister. Her ALS gives them extra challenges, but they've been very responsive when there needs to be changes or issues arise.

We toured with Avamere at Albany and we felt that the atmosphere was kind of dark and plain. We were looking for a place where you walk in and it is bright and cheerful.

Not enough staff to do the job

Please look into how they cannot keep any staff. Once they see what it's like behind those doors they quit. Just had four quit recently.one med aid and one worker for over forty people. please tell me I'm mistaken . I would like someone to look into it.
