Alura Senior Living

If you have any wounds or medical concerns the facility won't allow you live there, which is completely the reason people need to be there. The food is mediocre. The caregivers are extremely sweet, but not well trained in emergencies and don't do simple things such as apply pressure to bleeding wounds before an ambulance arrives. The doctors on call are wonderful and most nurses are nice there. The facility doesn't have too many common areas, and no theater for entertainment.

The staff was wonderful, very happy and took an overall interest in her wellbeing. I think they could have been alittle more instrumental in getting her to be involved more. My mother would not leave her room without someone pushing her along as my dad had just passed and the change was very difficult for her. So for 4 months she pretty much sat in her room. it is a lovely place! I love the layout and the garden area and the open dining area as well as the lobby and all the entertainment. I would give a 5 for all 8. Maybe a 4 for# 8 because it is expensive but compared to anything else in this class, it really isn't bad. If we would have gone to anywhere else, we would not have been happy. This was by far the best. They have been there almost 3 months and I can't believe how friendly every person has been.
