A home away from home sounds accurate

I chose Artis senior living for a number of reasons ands benefits. The location was close and convenient and the facility specialized in memory care. The staff is both attentive and friendly and there are numerous activities and monthly entertainment to keep residents occupied and happy. There is also a very good nursing staff For each small community of residents. I like the fact that they keep me informed on my husbands progress and condition when necessary. Artis Senior Living of Eatontown

These are based on my wife's dealings with staff. After 2 years I brought my wife home as I realized with the help of hospice and a family member I could give her better care. I got hospice to give my wife extra care at Artis as they are short handed. Once hospice was in solved, the care from their partners {aids} was reduced. Instead of more care, I was paying Artis but hospice was doing the work.

My father was in another memory care facility and I decided to check out others. Artis is so much nicer and brighter. Bedroom with his own bath. Very impressed with the layout and residents seem very well taken care of without the restrictions the other facility has. Some residents were walking around or using walkers. At the other facilities the residents were all in wheelchairs.

Overall experience has been great. Staff is very kind and attentive. Lots of activities: arts and crafts, music, chair exercises, singing. Food is good, apartment is very clean, her personal care is very good. Communication responses when I actively request information. I would prefer a policy of providing regular status updates on general health, vital statistics, cognitive state, perception.

They are on the ball, know how to keep the residents safe, free, stimulated w tons of activities, and notify families of any health issues that come up. It's like a mini hospital but better.
