Asbury Gardens Exceptional Care

My mom has been at Asbury Gardens for almost 2 years. She recently transitioned into memory care due to her progression of her Dementia. I visit my mom several times a week, sometimes every day, which allowed me to have a unique experience of the day to day elder care here. Asbury has hired wonderful people. Lost my 90 year old mother's teeth upper plate

I was told that my mother's teeth were lost her upper plate and that she had been taking them out and sitting them on the table in the recreation room but that is not true I've never seen my mother mess with her mouth or teeth in the 3 years she has been in this place I believe they were taken either by residents or an employee memory Care is on lockdown you cannot get in or get out without someone opening the doors for you so her teeth had to be in the area of her room or one of the other residents rooms I am so d…

I think that whether it be Asbury or any home, it is important to be active in the care of your loved one. I believe our loved ones get extra attention and care because we are there so often to build relationships with the staff.

Helpful and Hopeful

Everybody was very accommodating in the community. They made the transition from one community to another very easy and in a timely manner. The staff were consistently communicating with the family about our loved one. The variety of food could be better for the residents.

Our families experience

The facility is a little dated, but it is well maintained and always tidy. Our loved ones previous community, families were given a code that allowed them to come and go throughout the memory care unit but here the receptionist has to let us in. We are still getting used to it as its a new adjustment but at times we do have to wait if they are busy so we wish we were just allowed our own personalized code/card to allow us to come and go, but again we do understand it is for safety reasons.
