The staff, food quality, and sense of community are the main reasons we chose this facility. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been caring and professional, and the environment feels very welcoming. Our only concern is the cost relative to the room size. It is quite expensive, and if my mom eventually needs memory care, she would have to share a bedroom with another resident, which offers very little privacy. This review is long overdue, but comes from the heart. In February, my mother spent a respite stay at Atria Aquidneck Place following a difficult accident. She had sustained multiple injuries - a broken and casted hand, fractured ribs, and a fractured pelvis - and was discharged from rehab sooner than expected. In my search for an appropriate assisted living facility, for my mother, I never felt like another potential "resident income". There was great compassion and awareness as to the potential needs of my 87 yr old mother. And there was honesty as to what I could expect, and what would not be available to us.
