I can't speak highly enough of how comfortable we felt and how comfortable she felt. She didn't question when we left at all, which was very surprising and she never asked to go home. I really appreciated the fact that for the first couple of days that she was there, she had the same caretaker. I think that that helped her transition be very smooth. When we walked in the door we were unloading her stuff from our car and her caretaker meet us at the door and took her and sat down in the kitchen and started feeding …

I was pleased with the facility/ staff at Avalon. The staff are very caring and try their best to accommodate the patients and family members. The only draw back is the food. Food seems to be made for teenagers and it is not diverse enough or appropriate for the elderly.
