The staff at Avalon have all been very approachable and inviting. The facility is by far the nicest of the numerous communities that we visited. There seem to be a wide variety of activities. On site access to PT, skilled nursing, and other services was also a key deciding factor.

We are so pleased with mother's transition and the entire staff's attention to her more than we could've hoped for. She is thriving and doing well. We would recommend others tour, visit, and spend time at Avalon. We found the program manager and nursing manager to be focused on mother's physical and medication management needs addressed directly from the start. That was most important to us. Happy Parents = Happy Life

I am so happy with this facility that I just renewed my parents' lease for another year. They have activities to keep them busy, they know all the other residents, and someone on staff is always walking around socializing and checking in to make sure everyone is okay. Knowing they are happy, safe, and taken care of is reassuring when we can't be available.

1. Beautiful physical facility; individual apartment units. 2. Large, open spaces in common areas, especially windows in the dining area. Non-institutional feel. Clean. 3. Ability to use Medicaid waiver when private funds are depleted. Ability to stay in their unit/no "Medicaid" beds or areas. 4. All levels of staff are friendly, open and welcoming. Genuinely welcome visitors and interact positively with residents.

A great fit for my father

The staff is friendly and very helpful. Makes worthwhile suggestions. They also show great concern about my father. Facilities are great, well-maintained, clean, and if my father isn't satisfied with something they go out of their way to accomodate him.

Staff has always been friendly in communication; email, text and verbal. I have witnessed interactions between the staff and residents and never been worried about my parents being there. The facility has always been clean well maintained.
