Our experience was great. We visited 2 times before deciding on Avery Village. The staff was friendly and the administrators were accommodating. We felt like everyone truly enjoyed working there, which was way different than the vibe we got at most places. It's an older facility but very clean. The rooms are smaller than some but I feel like that may help keep residents from parking in their rooms long term. PositiveAvery Village meets all my brother's needs with warm, friendly care
Staff are attentive and very friendly, warm in their interactions with residents. OT and PT on staff has been beneficial to my brother's functioning. The common areas are always clean and inviting. My brother's room and bathroom are cleaned every day very well. Meals are well prepared and tasty, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Transportation to medical appointments is excellent. Overall, Avery Village meets all my brother's needs, delivered in a warm, friendly, peaceful environment.

Quality of care- 3 (Because of the score that I've given them I'm going to elaborate just a little bit. When my husband first arrived at Avery Village, I became worried that they did not have adequate staff to give my husband the care that he needed. I spoke to them about their lack of adequate staffing. The 'new' for director was very respectful , & seemed to be listening to what I was saying. She said that they were having a good bit of turnover, but they had just hired 6 new workers, so things would get better.…

They were easy to work with as far as visiting and moving in (the day after Christmas.) They were the ONLY place we visited where we were smiled at and greeted by the staff. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working there.
