Needed additional services

The only reason it isn't 5 stars is because we had to move my Dad out because their staff is not allowed to care for a catheter & he required one. We have moved him to Brookdale Shawnee, which has more qualified staff that can care fore a person with a catheter.

Our family's experience

The director when I was there [name removed] was my lifeline and savior to communicate with my Long Term Care insurance to learn the correct terms to describe our needs. Great and compassionate personal staff

Wonderful facility with home-like feel with caring staff. Highly recommend.

The staff is all wonderful and have been great as I live out of state. Always receptive and helpful when I call. Food seems to be an issue according to my mom in regards to variety. Yet, trying to please all residents is a challenge. I do wish I had an opportunity to communicate with staff via email yet can call.

We toured Benton House of Lenexa when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was nice. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. We were supposed to meet with the Executive Director, but they weren't there the day of our tour.

Great facilty, quiet location, wonderful staff.

All the staff have been very communicative with me since I don't live close. The nurse, director and assistant director have all been great. Being that it is smaller, all on 1 floor and in a quiet area made it a more attractive. Also, the residents were all out of their rooms engaging with other residents and staff. We toured other places where no one was out of their rooms. Based on the experience we have had so far with Benton House of Lenexa we would absolutely recommend this community to other families

I truly can’t say enough good things about Benton House of Lenexa. Every department in this assisted living is top notch. Starting with [name removed], the marketing director, she has a heart of gold & truly cares & knows about each resident. She & the activities director, [name removed]decorate for each holiday, keeping the already lovely facility, festive and fun.
