Bickford of Crown Point

I’m disappointed my mom doesn’t qualify to stay in such a beautiful institution because I have been looking at places that accept Medicaid that have memory care and I have found it very sad.Bickford looks more like home and feels like a great place for her.

The staff is super friendly and kind to my family member. I definitely would choose Bickford over and over again!

Activities are great and the coordinator goes out of her way to invite my mom who is unable to read the signs. Food is good, temperatures of the food tends to be a little bit too cold for many of the residents. Inside the facility is kept very clean. They just did a major renovation recently and brighten things up. Not too trendy that the elderly residence feel out of place. They struggle with answering the phone.

I love the location and that it is a smaller facility. Just wish their memory care was not so expensive. I think it's the most expensive in the area.

Great respite care.

Care provided was great. Little trouble in the beginning with distribution of the meds but was quickly resolved. I would recommend to others

Overall a great place with potential for improvements

Outside building needs to be cleaned up much more frequently. It's the first impressions that are memorable. Unfortunately, it is in a more industrial area, so litter ends up blowing on the property. Need to fix the TV's in the communal corners. Hope for perfection, expect multiple learning curves. Advocate for your loved one and approach it with gentle kindness and understanding. I would recommend it. It's not easy running one of these facilities. Sometimes they failed to notify us when sickness occurs. Staff is friendly.
