I would ask about communication between the staff and how efficiently the resident's needs are spread throughout the team. For example, we were asked to bring something in for our mom, and then reprimanded by a different team member for bringing it in. I also have communicated something to a team member in the hopes that then all would be aware, but that does not always happen. All in all we are so happy to be here. But because we are not there every day, it can be frustrating when you request or mention something …

I'd rate all areas 5 except for cleanliness. Housekeeping could do a better job keeping my mother's room clean. It took mom awhile to feel comfortable participating in activities, but now she loves going. Super variety of activities. Mom always says she gets more food than she can eat. Not only are there meal choices, but regular standbys if you don't like the choices.
