Brookdale Bloomsburg

Very nice and clean. The staff has been awesome and very helpful.

My FIL just went this week. So far we have been very pleased and staff has been helpful. Transition went well from nursing home to assisted living. Hoping that it is a perfect fit for him. He is 99 years old. His mind is very good but some times balance not great and hard to walk.

More than just a place, it's home.

I believe you can always make improvement. Mom was very active and independent until she lost her vision. She has been able to become involved in many activities at Brookdale. For example exercise classes, guest entertainers or presentations, religious services, and has become a member of their Resident Committee. This is a small facility, which makes it feel more like home. I met one resident that was very happy to be there and showed me many things she accomplished in her past, she would make a great spokesperson for the facility. My tour was through and my Slow walking was taken into consideration during the tour. Everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. The thing that I found most convincing, although everyone that I spoke with was nice was open, was glad to share and answer questions… the thing that stuck with me after a week of touring several places that were similar in the area was laughter. It wasn’t the atmosphere of modern efficiency that every place had, but it was the sound of people talking and laughing… throughout the whole facility. Sometimes I saw them but many times I didn’t. Helping Mom Live Her Best Life!

My mom is soo happy at Brookdale. She tells people in waiting rooms at her doctors, tells people at church and her former neighbors how much she loves it there. She is almost completely blind but the staff are very kind and helpful, while allowing her to do everything she can do on her own. Mom has always been a very independent woman.
