Review for Brookdale Dowlen Oaks

All the staff is friendly, and willing to adjust to mom's needs. [Name Removed] the nurse, works very hard despite her workload. Mom is extremely introverted and doesn't participate in activities, but I observe constant activities and the residents genuinely enjoy them. The residents seem very happy and friendly. The food adjustment were a bit challenging but the chef and his staff have gladly made it happen. Room cleanliness is acceptable, but could be better. Mom is in a studio by choice and the room size and lay

A shame it wasn't to be.

I loved the facility. Miscommunication regarding admission resulted in us not moving in. Lost money. Staff was very nice. I would recommend but their business practices on refunds is greedy. We didn't even move in and they kept over $[removed] of the money and I'm still waiting for my $[removed] refund. But we do love the facility the staff were wonderful I'm sorry that it just did not work out.

Top notch

Friendly, caring staff that get to know the residents and their families. Familiar staff that have been there regularly (no high turnover). Meals are good quality and served with real plates, silverware and napkins. Patients are clean and tidy and we haven't noticed items missing from their rooms (at another prior facility his clothes items were disappearing and he would have on clothes we did not provide).

We loved this recommendation so much, we are moving my husband in next week. My son and his family, especially my grandson, are looking forward to being together in the common game room and the beautiful outside gardens.

Staff are outstanding

The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and provided my family member with excellent care. I appreciated their communication and service from the move-in process throughout living at the facility. It is a very clean, well maintained facility. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.
